Instructions for Multiple Unit Proximity or How to Change the Wireless ID

WATERPIK Sonic-Fusion Models SF-01 and SF-02

These instructions describe how to change the wireless ID for your SONIC-FUSION unit handle and base.

  • If multiple SONIC-FUSION units are used in close proximity, wireless interference may occur.
  • To avoid interference, you can set each unit to use one of three unique wireless ID numbers.
  • These instructions can also be used if the wireless ID of the unit's handle and base do not match, which interferes with unit function.

Step 1: Changing the Power Handle Wireless ID Number

  1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.

  2. Press the round button on the bottom back side of the power handle to disconnect the water tube. Remove the brush head and set it aside.

  1. Press and release the Floss button. The charge light corresponding to the current ID number displays for a short time.

  1. Press and hold both the Brush and Floss buttons for at least 5 seconds to enter Program Mode. Release both buttons when the lights start blinking.

  1. To change the ID number, press the Floss button.

  1. When the desired ID number displays, push the Brush button to exit Program Mode and set the new ID number.
  2. Note: If you do not press the Brush button after 20 seconds of entering Program Mode, the power handle exits Program Mode without changing the ID number.

  1. Verify the ID number by pressing the Floss button and confirming the correct charge light is indicated.

Step 2: Changing the Base Wireless ID Number

  1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove the reservoir and power handle from the base, and set aside.
  3. Turn the base over and locate the ID switch on the bottom of the unit (see illustration).
  4. Using a pen or similar device, move the switch to the same ID number used for the power handle.

Note: Only light pressure is required to move the switch. Pressing too hard may damage the switch.

  1. Plug the base into an electrical outlet and wait 5 seconds for the base electronics to initialize.
  2. To verify wireless operation, point the brush head into the sink and press the Floss button on the power handle.

Note: You must remove the power handle from the base to activate wireless communication.
