Q: Is it harmful to use this tip around the gingiva of ALL teeth? I don’t have pockets but like how precise this tip is. Also, am I harming my gums by turning the pressure up and am I asking for recession by doing so?

1 Answer

A: Hello Christan - We recommend using the Pik Pocket Tip on low pressure for two reasons: 1. Periodontal pockets should only be cleaned with low pressure. 2. It will minimize stress on the water flosser pump, as well as other components.

Q: Is this compatible with the WP-580?

1 Answer

A: Hello Claire-Amy - The Pik Pocket Tip will fit. However, this is a specialty tip used for delivering medicaments to a periodontal pocket, which can require precise placement during use. You may find that a countertop unit is better suited for this more precise placement. If you are looking for a general tip for everyday use with a cordless model, we recommend the Classic Tip or the Plaque Seeker Tip.
